Does any of this sound familiar?

Illustrative situations from quotation follow-up.

01

The quotation is out. Then nothing happens.

A quotation is sent, but nobody hears back.

02

“We will call you in two weeks.”

A standard phrase without a firm appointment.

03

The email must have been overlooked.

A follow-up email gets lost in the inbox.

04

“We are too expensive.”

Price is assumed to be the reason, without checking.

What is quotation follow-up?

Follow-up is part of sales. It takes a process.

Quotation follow-up starts when the requirements are clarified, before the quotation is sent. It includes customer prioritisation, firm dates, the right channel and a clear process that the whole team follows.

Four learning steps

  1. 01

    Prioritise customers

Group A, B and C customers by potential, contribution margin and payment behaviour. Who calls whom?

  2. 02

    Agree follow-up dates

Agree a follow-up date while clarifying the quotation, rather than relying on a standard phrase.

  3. 03

    Choose the channel

Why a phone call is more effective than an email and how to prepare for it.

  4. 04

    Clarify objections and budget

Clarify the budget, decision-making group and competition early, rather than finding out after a rejection.

Practice at the centre

Input. Reflection. Discussion. Practice. Transfer.

Participants analyse their own quotation processes. They practise calls and handling objections in realistic conversations. The approach is practical rather than theoretical.
